Josh Norton is one of the Co-founders of South Coast Card Co.

BioforJosh:

Growing up in Portsmouth, my journey with Pokémon started back in the Kanto days, collecting cards with my brother and sister whenever we visited our nan—thanks to my parents always treating us to a few packs. Like many, I had a Base Set binder (definitely not in great condition), which sadly got thrown away over the years 😭, but the passion stuck.

Now at 29, that childhood hobby has come full circle as Co-Founder and Director of South Coast Card Co, which was started after meeting Scott and Mike through work and realising we shared the same passion and had to build something from it. I’ve always wanted to turn something I genuinely love into a career, and this is exactly that. My favourite Pokémon have always been a bit unconventional—Psyduck, Ditto, and surprisingly Mr. Mime—and I’m currently building a full Pokédex binder featuring all 1025 Pokémon. Whether it’s buying, trading, or chatting with other collectors at events.

I’m all about building a community and keeping that same excitement alive—while also trying to pass the hobby on to the next generation.

My passion for Pokémon cards began in childhood, where I spent countless hours immersed in the joy of collecting. I loved hunting for new cards, organizing my collection, and chasing rare holographic pulls—building what became a treasured binder full of memories. Among all the Pokémon, Gengar has always been my personal favorite.

As life moved forward, my collection was carefully packed away for many years. That changed when my son discovered Pokémon cards and began building his own collection. Watching him experience the same excitement and wonder I once felt rekindled my love for collecting in the most meaningful way. His enthusiasm became the inspiration that motivated me to start this business.

Today, I bring decades of dedicated collecting experience together with a strong commitment to quality and authenticity. Every card we offer is thoughtfully sourced, thoroughly inspected, and verified so that fellow collectors—whether lifelong enthusiasts, returning fans, or new generations—can expand their collections with complete confidence.
